rustic cherry looks great with the stone that I chose. the installation was a matter of a few holes on the Board that hangs on the mantel, use drywall screws to secure that Board to the wall (use anchors or be sure to hit some studs) and set the Mantel. It couldn't have been easier! Knowing it's a Pearl Mantels (with their trademark Pearl on the end) makes this even better!! I always get compliments about how it looks nice.

We had to buy more trim to make it look right. also recommend that you use liquid nail clamps to fasten the sides because the brackets and L don't pull it tight enough so it leaves gaps. the liquid nail did appear as one piece.
